Where we want to get to, and what we are doing to get there.

Long-term goals

  1. For ASTERA to become a recognised regional hub for STEAM education, innovation and active citizenship.
  2. To build lasting non-formal learning infrastructure accessible to children, young people and adults across the Tikvesh region.
  3. To develop a stable network of domestic and international partners, donors and institutions.
  4. For the region’s cultural heritage to be documented and accessible through contemporary digital formats.
  5. To increase the participation of young people and vulnerable groups in local decision-making.

Short-term goals

  1. Putting the association’s organisational and operational foundations in place, with an active membership base.
  2. Delivering the first STEAM workshops and digital-skills training for children and young people.
  3. Establishing partnerships with schools, local government and the business sector.
  4. Applying to national and European funding programmes.
  5. Building a volunteer network and a mentoring programme.

Objectives

  • Organising training, workshops, camps, competitions and events.
  • Producing educational and multimedia materials and tools.
  • Research, analysis and documentation of good practice.
  • Information, advocacy and public awareness campaigns.
  • Supporting initiatives by young people, women and entrepreneurs.
  • Cross-sector and international cooperation and exchange.
